If GoHighLevel runs your front office, the updates from the week of September 7 to 11 are worth a few minutes. This was one of the biggest AI pushes the platform has shipped, and a couple of the changes are genuinely useful right now. (HighLevel weekly update)

Ask AI now works inside WhatsApp

You can connect your personal WhatsApp number and use the Ask AI copilot from the same app you already message clients in. It can look up a contact, move a deal, check appointments, draft an email, even generate an image or audio clip, all from a chat. Each number stays private to the person who connects it.

What it means for you: the CRM comes to you instead of you logging in. Quick lookups and updates happen from your phone in seconds.

Eight new Conversation AI models

GoHighLevel added eight new models to Agent Builder across premium, balanced, and low-cost tiers. The strongest scored 93.0 percent accuracy against 82.4 percent for GPT-4.1, and cost per reply now ranges from about 2.5 times the old price for the top tier down to 89 percent cheaper for the efficient one.

What it means for you: your automated conversations get more accurate, and you can pick a model that fits your budget. Better replies plus lower cost is a rare combination.

A real-time voice agent

A new speech-to-speech voice model entered early access. It listens and talks at the same time, so a caller can interrupt mid-sentence and it adapts, while it quietly handles bookings and lookups in the background. Pricing starts at $0.12 per minute from September 17, and these agents can now make outbound calls too.

What it means for you: answering and booking calls is increasingly something your CRM can do on its own, in a voice that no longer feels robotic.

A safety gate on your workflows

Publishing a workflow now blocks if it has unresolved errors, with a sidebar that links straight to the broken step or offers an AI fix. Value chips show blue when a value is supplied, yellow when it is missing, and red when it does not exist.

What it means for you: fewer automations that quietly break and lose leads, which as I have written before is where messy setups cost you the most.

Worth a mention

  • Single-reply AI suggestions on mobile, above the composer
  • Call transfers for staff without a personal phone number
  • Self-service booking cancellations with an optional reason
  • Event tickets that save to Apple and Google Wallet

The takeaway

GoHighLevel is clearly betting on AI doing more of the front-office work: messaging, calls, and cleaner automation. The tools are only as good as the setup underneath them, though, which is exactly what I do in my GoHighLevel CRM work. If you want yours configured to use these properly, book a call.
